Don`t wait for opportunities.Create them !!

They say you have : to lose yourself in the moment ,live the moment and seize the moment, for opportunity knocks once in a life time .Yes opportunities are many but there are those that breed more opportunities, those that  change our lives in a positive manner, those that motivate and inspire others. When an opportunity knocks do not just "open " the doors ,instead open them wide and explore. Many of us come across opportunities but give up along the way .You will agree with me  that we let go of a lot of opportunities because we are expected to complete application forms,to meet the required qualifications ,to carry out medical tests and at times to posses certain specific traits .At times we are even expected to move from our comfort zone  and  in worst cases we have to compromise on our personal values. All theses challenges tend to hinder many of us  from fully exploiting our potential .Such challenges shut us out and reduce our success possibilities, but if we approach opportunities with the future in mind ,if we start with the end in mind we will realize that we are powerful beyond measure. My first trip to Europe (Sweden ) was a challenging one as i had to pay  for a number of  expenses including the visa .I had to mobilize both financial and non financial resources.Back then i was still unemployed ,as a result i had to humble myself and carry a sponsorship sheet and ask for contributions from those that i knew and in many instances from people i did not even know.It was indeed a tough and somewhat embarrassing  period but because i had the future in mind i humbled myself. I did everything that was required to make  my participation in the World Youth Convention a reality.  It was from that time in 2010 that more opportunities have come my way and i have explored the world, with Denmark and Lebanon being my recently visited places due to my leadership abilities and motivational speaking passion .All you need to do is to compliment the opportunity with efforts .When opportunities are fully exploited your motivation is increased and you are able to set big and powerful goals .For its not what a goal is that matters but what a goal does .Beyond waiting and seeking opportunities you have to create them yourself .So start now and be creative !!

Money :Is it the greatest source of motivation?

Some call it cash money, imali, muler  ,some say its the love of it is the root of all evil whilst others say it makes the world go around. The most interesting thing about money is that some of us cannot leve without it and neither can they live with it for to them its a case of "more money more problems" .Over the years, scholars have argued that: "the greatest source of motivation is money.Well we all need money as a means of exchange and to facilitate trade transactions and a store of value .However ,to a greater extent money has failed to motivate many people for  the greatest motivator is a strong, clear and passionate vision. This surpasses the desire for money or any gain whatsoever!Money cannot buy you a vision but a clear vision can get you money.

Does the world still have visionary leaders?

Visionary leaders are people who do not just paint a picture, but those that paint it and explain it! The whole essence of visionary leadership is rooted in one`s ability to effectively share their vision to others in such that even in their absence what they sought to achieve is achieved by others. The good thing about vision sharing is that you do not need to be there for your vision to be achieved. Most importantly you have to tackle all limitations and turn your tragedies into triumphs. The world has its own standards of determining hero and heroine status but to me it is those leaders that have turned their tragedies into triumphs and dark nights into victory that I believe deserve the status. A blind man`s world is bounded by the limits of his touch; an ignorant man`s world by the limits of his knowledge; a great man`s world by the limits of his vision .Paul Harvey What is vision? "SKETCHES FROM SOUL"

After successfully launching the debut motivational Poetry anthology African Sketches which sold out locally and internationally on Amazon and Google Reads .The motivational speaker/author  Njabulo Moyo  launches yet another collection entitled "Sketches from my soul " which was reviewed by American based Cain Book Price award winning author NoViolet Bulawayo,Delta Milayo Ndou and South African based Novuyo Rosa Tshuma. Meet the African Sketches 2: Sketches from my soul. Interact with the scribbles that d efine our humanity. The anthology is a social and political commentary. The language is highly accessible which is a good thing as the modern poet shrugs off centuries of ancient stereotype poetry. That is difficult and therefore not for the ordinary man on the street. The extracts from the second publication contain fresh produce from the heart of this fast growing poetic calabash whose style of writing is uniquely contemporary, cross- cultural with a touch of motiv...
