Inspirational young published author of the book AFRICAN SKETCHES .i believe that: motivation is spiritual, leadership is viral

There is power is what we speak .We become what we say about ourselves and others. Our words shape our hearts desires .Greater is the tongue that speaks greatness. Great is the mind that is ideas driven as opposed to that one which is influenced by gossip and a passion to discuss other people’s failures and weaknesses. In the last couple of weeks I have been busy "speaking with the future". I was on tour conducting motivational speaking sessions for young people in churches and academic institutions .By so doing I realise how much of the future spoke to. When you speak and inspire young people you are blessed with the opportunity of speaking with the future .It is this young person that shall command influence in different spheres. Many of us are still holding on to the past .We want to live within the painful moments that scavenge people`s sympathy. Others are the sweet type that simply wants to hang on to good memories and never create time to interact with the future. You can only interact with the future when you embrace the need for you to create and be ashamed to live within the ideas and discoveries of people who died ages ago .From today as you make a call with your I-Phone and refresh yourself with Coca-Cola do take time to think and realise the need for you to create your own product and contribute to the world instead of continuously using dead people’s ideas. Steve Jobs and Robert Woodruff contributed to the world and up to day they are still interacting with you and they will interact and speak with the future!

Money :Is it the greatest source of motivation?

Some call it cash money, imali, muler  ,some say its the love of it is the root of all evil whilst others say it makes the world go around. The most interesting thing about money is that some of us cannot leve without it and neither can they live with it for to them its a case of "more money more problems" .Over the years, scholars have argued that: "the greatest source of motivation is money.Well we all need money as a means of exchange and to facilitate trade transactions and a store of value .However ,to a greater extent money has failed to motivate many people for  the greatest motivator is a strong, clear and passionate vision. This surpasses the desire for money or any gain whatsoever!Money cannot buy you a vision but a clear vision can get you money.

Does the world still have visionary leaders?

Visionary leaders are people who do not just paint a picture, but those that paint it and explain it! The whole essence of visionary leadership is rooted in one`s ability to effectively share their vision to others in such that even in their absence what they sought to achieve is achieved by others. The good thing about vision sharing is that you do not need to be there for your vision to be achieved. Most importantly you have to tackle all limitations and turn your tragedies into triumphs. The world has its own standards of determining hero and heroine status but to me it is those leaders that have turned their tragedies into triumphs and dark nights into victory that I believe deserve the status. A blind man`s world is bounded by the limits of his touch; an ignorant man`s world by the limits of his knowledge; a great man`s world by the limits of his vision .Paul Harvey What is vision? Last Friday: Sketches from My Soul, BOOK LAUNCH

·     28 October, 2013 ·    Written by  Chris Nqoe Rain is considered a considered a good sign in African culture and tradition. In equal comparison, time is really not a concept that’s respected by people of African descent.  Now imagine our surprise this past Friday, when right on cue, 5PM to be precise, the heavens above Bulawayo opened up to bless our thirsty city with torrential rain.  The random event organiser would have been caught in a panic, praying to God to cease the floodgates of Heaven and ensure invited guests made it to the Sketches from My Soul book launch at the Bulawayo Theatre. Now picture what actually transpired at the venue of the launch, right under the pouring rain. Guests were instead seemingly oblivious to the rain, posing for close to three photographers on the red carpet, capturing moments that will become WhatsApp avatars and Facebook profile pictures. Book lovers, the literati, media,  poets and Bulaw...
