The Success Road Map

A beautiful girl in dirty clothes is still  beautiful likewise  an ugly girl in clean clothes exhibits an ugly image .To be an effective leader you need to work on the inside ,have self examination .This then influences the image or perception that people have about you.You might be dressed in rags but what you will change the angle of view that people see you from.A bare footed competitor in an athletics competition can conquer participants wearing the latest sports shoes, its not about what you but what you can do about it . Successful people deal with their internal part of life first then they move to other areas.

Fundamentals of self motivation

The whole essence of self motivation rests upon your being you ,being yourself and living life to the fullest in such a way that expresses no one but you!The way we perseive our selfves forms a key part of who or what we become .Our lives are vested on what we persieve of ourselves ,for we become what we think of ourselves. We are a mirror image of what we percieve of ourselves. Many have spent a lifetime living others peoples lives.Self motivation begings when we start appreaciating who we are and working towards improving our image ,social relationships and most importantly achieving through turning our tragedies into triumphs.Self motivation is catalysed when we also accept others and give them a room to share their vison with us.For being human is just having the freedom to be yourself ,not caring about what other people say or think, having that freedom to be yourself .For if you seize to be your self them who are you?Whose life are living...

My Heroine

You are my hero ,my heroine .. If you face tragedies and turn them into triumphs If you see opportunities in challenges If you believe in change and change other peoples lives If you believe in yourself  and give room for others to believe You are my hero ,my heroine Your vision is for the nation Oh yes!you are not only my hero ,my heroine But a force to reckon with ,a source of inspiration A calabash of wisdom The world needs many of your kind

ZIMBABWE WHEN SHALL YOU ACCOUNT?

Zimbabwe when shall you account?   When shall you account? For the mass exodus of your skilled children? Who have flocked to the West? In search for ‘greener’ pastures That has seen some of them being the worst   In their quest for survival What kind of a mother are you? You give birth and dump... You give life with one hand and take with the other   Your sons and daughters have become destitute When you are so pregnant with resources From land to minerals From gold to diamond All we have seen are funerals Yesterday you fought colonialism, Nepotism!! Today you are the master of neo-colonialism When shall you account dear Zimbabwe? When shall you account for all these negative isims? Your children are calling you to account     For they have a mission That needs to reach a completion So that they can be joy and jubilation in the nation More ululations in celebration of victory You have been called to fight... Fight together. Fight who? Fight co...

Mentoring the Jesus way..

Mentoring is a relationship that is based on inspiration, encouragement, teaching, truth and reality. Is between the one who inspires (mentor) and the one who is mentored (protégé).mentoring can be at many levels, for example spiritual mentors, peer mentors financial mentors amongst others. Rusty Bernstein argues that   :“Mandela’s endurance and charisma made him the symbol of our struggle --- Tambo’s single-mindedness and diplomatic skills sponsored the worldwide campaign against apartheid ---- And Sisulu, the ‘father of them all’, set the strategic directions and the standards of humanity and comradeship which characterised the SA liberation movement.’ At some point the above mentioned leaders were mentors and still mentoring people for a good mentor continues to have influence even after their death.   The following are some of the traits of a good mentor as exhibited by Jesus •   He dialogued . •   He illustrated truth by pointing to the commonplace and by tell...

Reasons Why Dreams Don't Take Flight

Reasons Why Dreams Don't Take Flight - Dr. John C. Maxwell Most of us never see our dreams come true. Instead of soaring through the clouds, our dreams languish like a broken-down airplane confined to its hangar. Through life, I have come to identify five common reasons why dreams don't take flight. #1 We Have Been Discouraged from Dreaming by Others We have to pilot our own dreams; we cannot entrust them to anyone else. People who aren't following their own dreams resent us pursuing ours. Such people feel inadequate when we succeed, so they try to drag us down. If we listen to external voices, then we allow our dreams to be hijacked. At some point, other people will place limitations on us by doubting our abilities. When surrounded by the turbulence of criticism, grasp the controls tightly to keep from being knocked off course. #2 We Are Hindered by Past Disappointments and Hurts In the movie Top Gun , Tom Cruise plays Maverick, a young, talented, and cocky aviator who ...

Are Leaders Born or Made?

For centuries people have debated whether leaders are born or made. Several decades ago researchers started trying to answer the question. The debate goes on, even though we know the answer. It turns out to be a little of both. Leaders are sort of born and they're always made. Knowing the details will help you develop effective leaders for your company. Leaders are Sort of Born It seems like there's only one thing that a person needs to actually be born with in order to be a leader later in life. That's intelligence. A leader needs to be smart enough. Effective leaders aren't necessarily the smartest people in the room or the company or even on the team. But they have to be smart enough to do the job they're assigned. What's more important is what kind of person the potential leader is when he or she becomes an adult. The person who emerges from adolescence into young adulthood has the psychological and character traits they'll demonstrate for the rest of t...

LET GO!!!

When people walk away from your life let them go.. .It doesnt mean they are bad people but it means their part in your life is over.Stop begging people to stay ,let them go ...If your are invoveld in a wrong relationship or addiction let it go...If you keep trying to help someone who wont even help themselves let it go .If you are in a job that does not allow you to realise your full potential ,let it go.Let the past be the past, you have got to know when to let go and possible deal with the memories that come or go with them.Such is life let it go for God has better plans for you.

ANOTHER LEADERSHIP TESTIMONY

NYDT Projects Officer Mr Njabulo Moyo has been selected to represent Bulawayo in “Tracing Welfare in Denmark” project that will be held in Denmark in August this year. It is an initiative of MS Denmark under its Millennium Development Goals project that strives to identify youths who are actively involved in community development programmes. The aim of the project is to make the Danish people know more about conditions in third world countries. Mr Moyo and another young lady Rachel from Harare were among youths who took part in MS funded projects and were identified as potential participants in this year’s edition of the event. The participants were required to submit curriculum vitaes, photographs and essays about themselves and activities that they are partaking in, with the objective of improving the livelihoods of the members of their society. Is this the culture we want?

Dearly beloved young people, at such a crucial time when talks of cultural renaissance are paramount, it is a null and void effort for one to ever attempt this   bewildering subject with a narrow appreciation of their own cultural stance. Culture is an artefact collectively crafted by social actors in a bid to have one identity. It seems for the past thirty years we have managed to make it our culture to have reasons why while others are developing, we manage to shrink our economies, create more wars than the whole world combined, and send the educated elite into political exile and we have practically made it our culture to be treated as a dictionary and case study for backwardness and poverty. Some may choose to say I am just a social commentator who doesn’t have her facts right and define culture as that essence that makes up a society; the axioms, norms and values set by the community, still it seems we have made it our norm to blame the Sahara desert for its inhospitable clim...
