Emerging author Njabulo Moyo defines his work as motivational poetry.This is a relatively new medium of using poetry and it's refreshing that a young man like him is pioneering this genre.His anthology African Sketches,due to be launched during Intwasa Arts Festival koBulawayo, has received glowing reviews from poets in the city and a distribution deal is almost complete. Chris Mlalazi who edited African Sketches says, "the poems are sketches of the modern African psyche". "African Sketches is a book with lots of marks and traces" - Bhekumusa Moyo. Mgcini Nyoni calls it "a social commentary as well as a political commentary".
